Park Road

Difficulty: 1/5

Location: Great Chesterford

Length: 1.0km

Height Gain: 43m

Average gradient: 4%

This road is a cul-de-sac which accesses Park Farm and a radio transmitter at the top.  This brings pros and cons; on one hand, you will have to turn at the top but on the other, you will encounter very little traffic and can truly enjoy the peace of this road.  As a climb it is not difficult.  The maximum gradient is a mere 7% and most of it is less steep than this although the final 500m are more testing than the first.  On the other hand, it is a wonderful little road with attractive farm buildings, birds and lined with trees.  If you and your bike are in the area, it is definitely worth a go.
