THE CYCLING CLIMBS OF EAST ANGLIA
Ickleton

Difficulty: 2/5
Location: Ickleton
Length: 1.5km
Height Gain: 57m
Average gradient: 4%

This part of Cambridgeshire is perfect for cycling. The roads are quiet, wide and well-surfaced and the hills are plentiful. To approach the area from the north-east, take Quickset Road out of Ickleton. The road sustains a gentle gradient most of the way out of the valley until about a kilometre in when you begin to feel the pain. The following section reaches a painful 11%. However, this doesn't last long and your effort is soon rewarded by the climb's summit and the rolling countryside.
