THE CYCLING CLIMBS OF EAST ANGLIA
Cock Hill

Difficulty: 2/5
Location: Kedington
Length: 1.8km
Height Gain: 45m
Average gradient: 3%

The marginally harder route up to Brockley Green from Kedington, Cock Hill is a substantial effort followed by 1.2km of false flat. Leaving Rectory Road, the first 600m are set on a surprisingly constant 7-8% gradient which you will more than notice. Here, the road winds charismatically through a pair of sweeping bends. The toil ends with a brick wall, where the road plateaus. Push on though, despite the lack of noticeable gradient, the second half is an enjoyable ride over arable farmland.
