THE CYCLING CLIMBS OF EAST ANGLIA

Childerditch Lane packs in a bit of everything over a fantastic 3.3km.  Short sections of over 10% hit you in waves, each one hurting slightly more than the last.  As you progress, you gain height away from the river to your left and a wonderful view opens up.   The stabs of tough gradient disappear at about halfway to be replaced by a more constant slope.  Here you enter quiet woodland and roll along gently for the remaining kilometre.  This climb is a real find  - tough but immensely enjoyable for anyone who simply likes the feeling of moving on two wheels.
